In the clip, which has so far been viewed more than 5.5 million times, Amanda wasted little time in issuing her warning.
'If you are doing any of these three things, prison could be in your future.
'Nobody thinks that they're going to go to prison. You could ask [every] person that I was locked up with "did you ever think you would be here?" None of them would have said yes.'
Launching into the most common habits, she began: 'If you lie on your food stamp application - saying you don't make as much money so that you can get more food stamps - trouble is in your future.'
She then explained that there can also be an issue if people get a job and fail to report the change in income.
Amanda humorously advised: 'I would just like to recommend that you not comment [on the video] that you've been doing that and getting away with it for years.
'Probably not a good thing to put in writing on the internet.'
Undeterred, the former inmate continued: 'The second thing is ringing something up at Walmart but it's not the thing that you're taking out of the store.

'I know a person who got a big old fancy vacuum cleaner but they rang up a pack of Kool Aid and they got her for shoplifting.
'They're watching... they'll let you get all the way out the door with it because then you actually shoplifted it.'
Amanda then turned her attention to her final word of warning: 'The last one is, if you are too interested in what your current or ex is doing online.'
She said if you go into their email and social media accounts or watch their location 'that's illegal.'
'Unless they give you explicit permission to have their passwords, they can press charges.'

Another joked: 'We are all going to prison.'
And a third said: 'Well y'all I'm going to jail. I'll see you in a decade.'
It seems that Amanda's warnings were legitimate.
Experts have warned that welfare fraud can lead to up to 25 years in prison, shoplifting can result in one year in jail and cyberstalking could come with five years behind bars.
