Hasan Minhaj has a lot to joke about these days.
This past September, the 37-year-old comedian was the subject of a New Yorker profile that claimed a handful of allegedly true stories in his act weren’t based on fact but “emotional truth” and exploited people from his past.
A little over a month later, he soberly responded to the piece on YouTube and claimed he had been unfairly represented in the interview process using snippets of conversation to prove his point.
“Why did the New Yorker fact-check my stand-up special but not properly fact-check their own article,” he asks in a mic drop moment.
“Going forward, will I be more thoughtful sticking to the facts in my storytelling? Absolutely,” he later added.
Want to hear more of his side — with punchlines?
Well, now you can.
The former “Daily Show” correspondent and “Patriot Act” recently extended his perfectly titled ‘Off With His Head Tour’ from now up until June 2024.
That includes three shows at Red Bank, NJ’s Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre on Nov. 25-26 and a quartet of gigs at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Dec. 15 and 17.
Next year, he’ll be back in the Big Apple for a night at Radio City Music Hall on Friday, April 12.

Upcoming Hasan Minhaj projects
In addition to making audiences laugh onstage, Minhaj also pops up in TV and film projects.
Here’s a closer look at what he has coming next.
“Babes” tells the story of Eden (Ilana Glazer) who gets pregnant after a one-night-stand and leans on her married best friend and mother of two to guide her. Minhaj co-stars alongside scene stealers Oliver Platt, John Carroll Lynch, Sandra Bernhard, The Lucas Brothers and Michelle Buteau. This will also serve as “Better Things” star Pamela Adlon’s feature film directing debut.
“Best of the Best” is a “raucous comedy set in the cut-throat world of collegiate Bollywood dance competitions” according to IMDb. “Never Have I Ever” director Lena Kahn will call the shots behind the camera on this picture.
“It Ends With Us” centers around Lily (Blake Lively), who believes she’s found true love with Ryle (Justin Baldoni, who’s also directing), but when a painful incident triggers past trauma, she must decide if love alone can carry her marriage through. However, things are complicated when her first love returns to her life. Minhaj will provide comedic relief along with fellow ringer Jenny Slate.
