Trent Williams Biography

Trent Williams was born on July 18, 1988, in Longview, Texas. His parents are Veronica and Freddie Williams. He grew up with an older brother named Fredrick. Unlike the very passionate NFL star he has become today, Trent Williams was literally forced to play his first football game ever at the age of 7.

He went to school at Longview High School, where he excelled as a two-sport athlete in both soccer and track and field. By the end of his time on the Longview Lobos High School football team, Williams was considered a three-star recruit who had earned the consensus of being named to the first team in the multiple districts in his senior year. From the many offers he received, the talented young man chose the University of Oklahoma.

Williams had an illustrious three-year tenure on the Oklahoma Sooners soccer team. After Brandon Braxton suffered an injury in week 7, he started the last 6 games of his first half of the season with a right tackle. He played 462 snapshots and had 75 knockdowns, a performance that earned him the second team of Freshman All Americas. His performance also earned him more playing time in his second season, as he played all 14 games, including 6 starts with the right tackle.

In his junior season (2008) William Trent started in all 14 regular-season games, scoring 131 knockdowns. He was part of the impressive offensive lineup of the Sooners 2008, which only allowed 11 sacks throughout the season. Williams missed the last game of the season due to injury but led the team with 102 knockdown blocks and 885 plays.

By the time he signed up for the 2010 NFL Draft, Trent Williams was considered one of the best offensive tackle prospects and was also widely considered a first-round contender. As expected, he was drafted by the Washington Redskins to 4th place overall, whereupon he signed a 6-year contract with the team.

Trent Williams made his NFL debut at the Redskins’ 2011 season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. All in all, it was a relatively uneventful rookie season – the talented player had compromised his rookie campaign with a 4-game suspension after failing several drug tests for marijuana use. Despite this setback, Williams experienced a major upswing in his second professional season (2012). Although he was disabled by a knee injury that lasted throughout the season, Williams showed an outstanding performance for which he was named Pro Bowl Team 2013, the first among several others. However, he was confined to the sidelines of the All-Star game due to an injury he sustained in a brawl at a nightclub.

Despite his lousy 2013 season with the Redskins, Trent Williams was the only member of the team selected for the 2014 Pro Bowl. The talented offensive tackling continued in his top form in the following seasons, earning him further Pro Bowl selections. In 2015, he also received a second All-Pro selection, and in December 2017 Williams was nominated for the sixth consecutive Pro Bowl, the longest and second-longest offensive lineman series in Washington Redskins and NFL history, respectively.

Is He Married, Who’s His Wife?

For a player who displays a high degree of boldness on the field, Trent Williams leads a rather tightly guarded private life. Reports about his relationship and family life are usually vague, with little or no detail. While the identity of his family remains unknown, Williams’ profile on the Forbes website indicates that he is married and has two children.

Height, Weight, and Body Measurements

Trent Williams stands at a towering height of 196 cm (6 feet 5 inches). He retains a bodyweight of 145 kg (320 lb) after losing nearly 30 lb in the off-season of 2015. Williams shows incredible athleticism and great footwork for a player his size. His physical dominance on the field earned him the nickname “Silverback”, which he has tattooed on his back. The Redskins’ offensive lineman is also distinguished by his unsurpassed hand-eye coordination.
